How to set up IPTV on Android TV
Just follow the steps below, one at a time. If you get stuck at any point, scroll to the bottom — we are happy to help over WhatsApp or do it for you.
Setting up on a different device? Firestick · Smart TV · iPhone / iPad · Windows / Mac
Not sure which device or app to buy first? Which Android TV box to buy · Do you need a dedicated box?
First, which app did you already install, or would like to use?
We recommend IBO Player or HotPlayer — they just need a quick activation from us, included at no extra cost. Prefer to set things up yourself right now without waiting for us? IPTV Smarters Pro is a free alternative you can install immediately.
Now, tap the device you are using:
Open your device's app store
On your TV remote, open the app that looks like a colourful triangle called "Play Store".
You are looking for the Google Play Store.
Search for "IPTV Smarters Pro"
Tap the search box (it usually has a magnifying glass icon 🔍) and type exactly this:
Install the app
Tap the button that says Get, Install, or Download. Wait for it to finish — this can take a minute.
Open the app
Once it is installed, tap Open. If you don't see that button, find the new IPTV Smarters Pro icon on your home screen and tap it.
Look for "Login with M3U URL"
The app will ask how you want to sign in. Look for a button or option called Login with M3U URL (it may also say M3U URL or Add Playlist) and tap it.
Type in the name and link we sent you
You will see two boxes. In the first box, type any name you like — for example "My TV".
In the second box, carefully type or paste the playlist link we emailed or sent you on WhatsApp after your payment. It will look something like this:
Tip: it's much easier to copy and paste this than to type it. If someone sent it to you in a message, press and hold the link, then tap Copy.
Tap "Add User" or "Login"
Once both boxes are filled in, tap the button at the bottom — it will say something like Add User or Login.
You're all set!
Your channels and shows should now appear on the screen. Tap anything you'd like to watch. That's it — enjoy!
Setting up IPTV on Android TV: what's different
"Android TV" covers TVs and boxes from a lot of different brands — Sony, TCL, Hisense, Philips, Nvidia Shield, and Chromecast with Google TV all use the same Play Store and the same steps above, whether the box calls itself "Android TV" or the newer "Google TV".
Most Android TV remotes have a microphone button for Google Assistant — press it and say the app name instead of typing with the on-screen keyboard. If your remote doesn't have one, most Android TV boxes also accept a regular USB or Bluetooth keyboard.
Android TV tips and quick fixes
- App not in the Play Store on your model? Some budget or older Android TV boxes ship with a locked-down store. Android TV allows installing apps from outside the Play Store too (under Settings → Apps → Unknown sources on most models) — message us on WhatsApp if you're not sure whether you need this for your device.
- Buffering? Restart the box from the power menu, and check nothing else in the house is heavily using the Wi-Fi at the same time.
- Running slow?Android TV boxes vary a lot in memory — clear the app's cache under Settings → Apps if it feels sluggish after a while.
